In the summer of 2008, I had the opportunity to be a Production Assistant for the first ten episodes of THE DOCTORS. Working under the perview of CBS Television Distribution and Stage 29 Productions, I was part of the team that established the format for this hit daytime talkshow. My main duties involved researching segment topics and pre-interviewing potential guests. I also prepared show binders and blue cards, coordinated travel arrangements, and worked with field producers to bring show segments to fruition.

What once was a 4-hour-a-week job reading scripts has turned into my current full-time position as an assistant in the Promotional Placement and Awards department at CBS Television Network. In this role, I perform a variety of tasks handling prizes for TV's #1 Daytime program, THE PRICE IS RIGHT. Half of my time is spent in the prize warehouse, where I assist in recieving prizes and preparing them to go on stage; the other half is spent in our office, where I handle inventory paperwork, manage the department filing system, and proof-read scripts for the show.

As a page at CBS Television City, I was fortunate to have many valuable opportunities handling audience for some of the biggest shows on TV, including American Idol, The Price is Right, and Dancing with the Stars. Through dedication and hard work, I became Head Page on several shows, leading the page staff to ensure the safety, security, and quality on-camera appearance of the studio audience.

At Marty Katz Productions I worked with veteran producer and former Disney Production VP Marty Katz. Acting as his second assistant, I handled heavy phones, scheduling, and script coverage. During this period, the production company was in pre-production of a large-budget motion picture, and I learned a lot about booking talet and crew, finding locations, and budgeting for international production. This was a fantastic experience that gave me fantastic insight into the challenges of producing.

At Columbia College Hollywood, I learned the basics of every job in the entertainment industry. From camera operating to sound, directing to running cable, I gained a great amount of physical production experience. My especially strong areas were production management, sound mixing, and operation of the multi-camera television studio.
At Columbia I also sharpened my writing skills, gained insight into Hollywood Business Practices & History, and perfected my troubleshooting abilities. After my experience at CCH, I feel I am ready for anything the industry can throw at me.
A graduation requirement at Columbia is to do your own short film. Since I am very TV-oriented, I did a short sitcom pilot, I Love You to Love Me. Click here to check it out.
